Welcome to the next phase of your career where you will develop a robust channel in the sale of tools for the wood, plastics and advanced materials industry.

In this role, you will develop a strong knowledge base of Leitz tools in order to drive growth with current and new customers. You will become a valued source of information both internally and externally. You possess a strong passion for sales, a resourceful nature and a keen sense to always outperform against budget.

    

Responsibilities - Business Development:

  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; solicit new accounts; provide technical information and explanations; prepare quotations
  • Analyze customer needs and advise customers on tooling applications
  • Prepare quotations for new and custom tooling
  • Provide order and application details as requested by technical specialists
  • Stay abreast of market conditions and advise company officials of new and emerging customer needs
  • Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying sales opportunities

 

Responsibilities - Account Management:

  • Serve as company liaison with customers on all sales, accounting, shipping and other administrative matters
  • Promote servicing of tools to customers
  • Generate sales of stock and custom tooling to current customers
  • Promote special programs and sales promotions to customers
  • Follow-up on sales orders to ensure delivery
  • Supervise sales/service representative assigned to sales territory
  • Serve as back-up to sales/service representative in his/her absence
  • Maintain effective communications with internal and external personnel
  • Obtain technical assistance for client projects

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of proven business development experience in technical/engineering background
  • Proven ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customers
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills with the ability to manage a fluctuating workload and set priorities to meet multiple deadlines
  • Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
